A trio of Canyon Eisberg riders will be gunning for a fast start to the National Track Championships on Friday.
Andy Tennant, Harry Tanfield and Charlie Tanfield begin a busy programme of racing at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester in the opening session (10am).
They all go in the individual pursuit qualifiers before the champion will be crowned in the evening session, which begins at 7pm.
Charlie will start the individual pursuit as the overwhelming favourite after a series of scintillating performances during the past year.
He clocked the fourth fastest time ever in the 4km discipline when winning gold at the UCI Track World Cup meeting in Minsk last weekend.
Having already become the second fastest Brit in history in October when he stopped the clock in 4min 14.994sec in Glasgow, he lowered his personal best from 4.13.448 to 4.12.253 in Belarus.
Australian Jack Bobridge holds the world record of 4.10.534, having bettered Britain’s Chris Boardman’s mark of 4.11.114. Jordan Kerby sits third (4.12.172).
Reigning champion Dan Bigham, who rides alongside Charlie for UCI track outfit Team KGF, will not give up his crown easily, though.
Meanwhile Andy, who won the title in 2014 (pictured) and 2015 and is a former world junior individual pursuit champion, and Harry will also be determined to get in the mix.
On day two, Harry will tackle the points race qualifier in the morning (from 8.30am) and will hope to make the final in the second session, which starts at 6pm.
Meanwhile, Charlie and Andy will be going for kilo glory with another of Bigham’s titles up for grabs on Saturday night.
The national championships climax on Sunday, when Charlie and Harry will join forces with Bigham and Team KGF to defend the outfit’s team pursuit crown.
They powered to a stunning victory in the UCI Track World Cup in Minsk last weekend and will start as red-hot favourites.
The qualifiers take place in the morning session, which begins at 8.30am, before the finals follow during the afternoon’s action (from 1pm).
Harry is also expected to chase glory in the scratch race on Sunday, with qualifiers and finals taking place across the two sessions.
