Tim Elverson toasted Canyon Eisberg’s partnership with ROTOR and revealed: This is only the start.
The UCI Continental outfit will use the Spanish brand’s INpower 3D+ cranks, 4130 press-fit bottom brackets, chainrings and chain catchers during the 2018 campaign.
And Elverson believes building a strong relationship now could pave the way for the team to roll out some exciting new tech in the future.
In particular, there are plans to test ROTOR’s hydraulic UNO groupset with a potential switch to disc brakes on the horizon.
Canyon Eisberg’s owner and sports director, who leads his team into their season-opening leg-stretcher at the Perfs Pedal in Portsmouth on Sunday, said:
“I was very pleased to reach an agreement on a partnership with ROTOR.
“We needed a solid training tool in the form of a reliable powermeter. Add the fact it’s part of a great looking chainset and ROTOR is an obvious choice.
“We are also excited about the plan going forward to test the new groupset they have worked hard to put together.
“With ROTOR being in front of the game and the likelihood we will be using discs next year, that may be the next logical step. Let the good times roll.”
Dan Duguid, Saddleback brand manager for ROTOR, is equally excited about the partnership with Elverson’s squad. He added:
“It is great to be able to support Canyon Eisberg this season with ROTOR.
“The team proved itself to be a dominant force in 2017 and with a strong line up again this year it is looking to be another strong season.”
